Miley Cyrus has a daunting task in front of her as tonight’s host of the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards. But she’s remaining cool.

“I thought it was going to be a bigger deal in my life, like it was going to be a little more preparation,” Miley said backstage, a day before the show, tucked up onto a dressing table. “Everything seems pretty normal. It’s pretty mellow.”

Not only will your favorite celebs win Moonmen on Sunday night, but everyone from The Weeknd to Nicki Minaj will perform, with Miley playing emcee.

Even though Miley’s been known to turn up from time to time, she also knows how to maintain her chill. And with her outlook and control over the VMAs, she knows that everything will turn out OK.

“I’m not scared because I don’t know what the worst thing that could happen is,” she said, looking relaxed in a fruits-and-veggies-printed bodysuit. “I don’t see anything that could happen. I feel like everything I do sometimes feels like déjà vu, like I feel like I’ve already done it in my head. If you only think the positive stuff, there’s nothing that could happen.”
